It could be a hectic offseason for the Golden State Warriors and for the NBA at large. The Warriors have recently been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, not necessarily out of actual reporting, but more out of just casual conversation.

One instance was when LeBron James was asked which player he wanted to play with, naming Warriors two-time MVP Stephen Curry.

The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers have come up as potential trade suitors, but is any potential deal even realistic?

Another note was when Colin Cowherd, on his talk show “The Herd,” talked about a potential trade that the Warriors could pull off for superstar center Anthony Davis.

While that may not make sense, it certainly got people talking about if a James Wiseman and Klay Thompson for Anthony Davis swap was realistic.

After all, people have to keep Los Angeles in the news, and they were eliminated from the play-in tournament, so this is apparently what must be done. The chance Los Angeles and Golden State pull off a trade this offseason is slim, but there are a decent amount of options on the table.

With that in mind, let’s break down what 3 trades between the two teams could look like, especially as both are strapped for cap space and looking to contend in the imminent future.
