Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Lakers trade suggestion No. 3

Let’s just call this one the Cowherd and get into his reasoning, because it’s worth a listen. Cowherd basically said that the Warriors should look into this trade because of what third-year guard Jordan Poole has become.

Poole has increased his scoring by about 66% each year, averaging over 18 points per game this season. He’s undoubtedly been among the league’s most improved players this season, whether or not he gets the award. He ranked No. 1 in free throw percentage as well.

The Warriors can then trade Wiseman and get a player that helps them for both the short- and mid-term future as Davis should be able to play a key factor in a contending team for years to come.

Davis averaged 23.2 points and 9.9 rebounds but played in just 40 games, which is a huge concern. 40 is still better than the 0 Wiseman was able to get minutes in.

Overall, the Warriors’ culture and how they’ve treated the Big 3 would likely make trading Thompson in this a non-starter in any trade, but that doesn’t mean on paper it may not make the Warriors closer to winning an NBA Championship next season.
