Golden State Warriors-Los Angeles Lakers trade suggestion No. 2

The Lakers have a ton of issues, and Thompson may not solve them all. However, bringing in even more shooting likely wouldn’t hurt.

Former Kings guard Buddy Hield was a player that often was linked to Los Angeles prior to being dealt to Indiana. Well, the Pacers seem to be more involved in a rebuild with Tyrese Haliburton at the center. James Wiseman could aid that and help make them a powerhouse.

Wiseman to the Pacers would also allow them to search for the best value for Myles Turner. This trade makes sense for Indiana. The Lakers have LeBron James, and any team with James, especially considering he’s 37, is going to be in win-now mode.

Hield and Thompson with James would give him a similar style of his old-school Heat teams had with James at the core and top-tier shooters around him. That’s how general manager Rob Pelinka should look to rebuild.

Still, getting the Warriors to part ways with Thompson is what would be most difficult about this trade.
