Warriors’ attack-first lineup: The Death Lineup

The Golden State Warriors have a new death line, and it features their three All-Stars, Poole, who has averaged around 26 points per game for the last month and a half, and five-time All-Star Klay Thompson.

The only worrisome part about this lineup is the size as Wiggins, who stands 6-foot-8 is the tallest player. Green at 6-foot-6 plays far bigger than his size. Despite those two and Thompson, the Warriors may eventually struggle on the defensive glass.

However, what we saw on Saturday would make being undersized well worth it.

This lineup played 5 minutes together and had a 127.3 net rating. Obviously, that’s a tiny sample size, but the shooting, comradery, and playmaking on the court when all five stars are together is borderline unfair.

The Warriors replaced Iguodala and Durant in the death lineup with Wiggins and Poole. While it’s impossible to replace Durant, Poole is doing his best to bring that high-level scoring, leading the team with 30 on Saturday.
