The Splash Brothers are back

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Stephen Curry scored 30+ points in just over 20 minutes on efficient shooting from the field.

If that sounds familiar, it’s because Curry has practically changed the way we view efficiency for perimeter players altogether. Even with numerous copycats emerging like Trae Young and Damian Lillard, Curry remains one-of-one.

Curry scored 34 points in 23 minutes off the bench in Golden State’s Game 2 win. A sight we have seen hundreds of times since 2016.

Something we haven’t seen in quite some time, however, is Curry doing this alongside his Splash Brother.

Yes, they are back. Klay Thompson helped lead the Warriors on their pivotal run when he spaced the floor and abused Monte Morris in the post for consecutive mid-range jumpers.

The dynamic of Stephen and Klay spacing the floor has historically pushed team’s to the brink and it appears nothing has changed in 2022.
