The Golden State Warriors have figured out their new death lineup, and many are dubbing it the “Fast Five.”

While an official nickname has yet to be established, the Dubs seem to have figured out a lineup that they’ll ultimately turn to down the stretch. Prior to fouling out in Game 4, the Warriors were set to make their comeback with this five on the court.

The Golden State Warriors had a minor setback in Game 4, but their new death lineup still has dominant numbers throughout the series.

Thankfully, for Golden State, a lack of time between key parts of their rotation did not cause issues. After all, Klay Thompson missed the first half of the season then when he came back Draymond Green was out with injury.

When Green was set to return from his back injury, two-time MVP Stephen Curry went down with a sprained foot. It was one after the other, and considering how long the Big 3 had been together, not having that on-court time during the season posed little threat to the series.

However, for head coach Steve Kerr, finding the right mix within the rotation was undoubtedly easier said than done.

The one lineup he managed to put together to absolutely abuse the Nuggets was one that had the Big 3, All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins, and rising star Jordan Poole. Wiggins is having one of the best seasons of his career, becoming an elite two-way threat.

As for Poole, he averaged around 26 points per game the last month of the regular season and had a game-high 30 points in Game 1 of the Nuggets-Warriors series. This lineup that has been given many nicknames across social media has thrived for Kerr.

Despite a tough Game 4 loss in which the Warriors were not able to close the series out, the Dubs “Fast Five” still has a net rating of 34.4. It has an offensive rating that’s sitting at 147.8 and then a defensive rating of 113.4.

With Green locking opponents down defensively and then a plethora of playmaking threats offensively, this lineup has just about everything one could possibly dream of, and one loss isn’t going to bring them back down to earth.
