Golden State Warriors key advantage: Shooting

The Grizzlies are more athletic than the Warriors, but that isn’t how one wins games — putting the ball in the basket is. The Warriors do that better than almost any team in the league, and their shooting in the playoffs is even better.

Golden State ranks second in the playoffs in three-pointers made per game and first in three-point shooting. Given their numerous sharpshooters (Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins), the Dubs will have the floor well-spaced.

The Warriors were tied for fifth in turnovers with the Bulls and tied for the second-fewest offensive rebounds per game with the Wolves in the first round. Both of those are direct results of their dominance shooting the ball.

3 players for the Warriors averaged 3 or more triples in the first round, and there were only 13 players in the entire first round to do that. Grizzlies’ shooting guard Desmond Bane was also part of the 13.

All-in-all, the Warriors’ shooting will allow them to control their own destiny, and if they’re hitting their shots, no team in the NBA stands a chance.
