Golden State Warriors potential free-agent signee: Thomas Bryant

Thomas Bryant has been with the Washington Wizards for the last four seasons. The Indiana product is 6-foot-10 and still relatively young at just 24 years old. Bryant shot 52% from the field this past season. The season prior, he neared 65%.

Bryant may be the one player on the list that won’t qualify for the veteran’s minimum. However, he won’t get what he could’ve. There’s no doubt about that. He topped 14 points per game then dropped to 7.4 per game this past season.

He was in store for a big-time deal and then struggled to stay on the court. He scored 13.2 points per game in his third season in the league then combined for 37 games in the last two seasons.

It’s difficult to pay someone who won’t be available which could help the Warriors’ quest for a talent like Bryant. After all, it seemed unlikely that Porter Jr. was going to be signed for a deal as low as his.

Bryant can shoot from deep, score efficiently and protect the rim. It feels like a long-shot signing for the Warriors, but it would be well worth their time.
