1. Defensive schemes

After having no answers to Ja Morant’s unfettered penetration in game 2, Kerr responded with a zone defense in game 3 that threw a wrench into the Grizzlies’ offensive game plan.

Ja had more difficulty penetrating and the Grizzlies had trouble generating good looks from the field. It was so simple, yet genius by Kerr.

However, in the chess match that is an NBA playoff series, surely the Grizz will come out prepared with a counter of their own.

In game 4 keep an eye out for the Dubs’ defensive schemes. How often do they go to the zone? Do they trap to get the ball out of Ja’s hands (if he plays)?
