When you get to the level of success two-time MVP Stephen Curry is at, looking back and doing difficult things like completing a college degree isn’t always at the forefront of your mind, especially when working to improve his craft as one of the NBA’s best players.

Curry is the best shooter in the history of the NBA, and there’s not a single person in their right mind that disagrees with that.

The Golden State Warriors are in the midst of a difficult playoff run, and while Stephen Curry is leading the way, he’s also been completing his schoolwork.

It takes countless hours to get to that level, and over the last several years, he’s also been working to complete his degree in sociology from Davidson University, where he played his collegiate basketball at.

Curry’s three-point shooting at the mid-major program changed his life and helped gain the small school national attention. He was a lottery pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and was chosen by the Golden State Warriors, his lone NBA home, with the 7th overall selection.

He’s brought 3 titles to the Bay Area after playing 3 seasons with the Wildcats. He averaged over 20 points per game each season at Davidson and ended his junior season scoring 28.6 per game, a highly impressive figure as college games are just 40 minutes.

Curry only went there for three years and never graduated. That said, the day has come and 34-year-old Stephen Curry is now a college graduate, earning his degree while also having an illustrious 13-year NBA career.

Curry completing this degree is a huge step, and a positive one as it shows his millions of fans that one can stay busy and also be dedicated to education.

Curry has been outspoken on some social issues over his career, and while he doesn’t necessarily need a degree to know right from wrong, understanding the development of human society certainly gives some credence to his opinions.

This is a great move for the 34-year-old guard, and hopefully, one that should help build a path for others to follow.
