The Golden State Warriors may have rediscovered their optimal starting lineup in game six against the Memphis Grizzlies, with Kevon Looney’s reintroduction paying immediate dividends as he grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds.

But as the Dallas Mavericks booked their spot in the Western Conference Finals, courtesy of a shocking demolition of the Phoenix Suns in game seven, the Warriors may have to re-think their plans for the starting lineup again.

The Dallas Mavericks’ five-out style may cause the Golden State Warriors to adjust their starting lineup ahead of the Western Conference Finals.

Looney worked incredibly well against the Grizzlies because they themselves had brought Steven Adams back into the starting lineup.

More importantly though, without star point guard Ja Morant, Memphis didn’t necessarily have the perimeter threats that were willing and capable to abuse Looney should he have switched out to a mismatch.

Dallas, on the other hand, has various methods that would concern Golden State with Looney on the floor.
