3 key, series-changing advantages the Warriors have over the Mavericks
A myriad of shot creators
The Warriors also have a plethora of playmakers. While Doncic is having the best individual postseason of a player in this series, the Golden State depth when it comes to who can adequately take a defender one on one is unparalleled.
The Warriors have a two-time MVP in Stephen Curry who is averaging 26.9 points per game then a five-time All-Star who had a 30-point game against Memphis in Klay Thompson.
Andrew Wiggins was an All-Star starter and has the 9th-best field goal percentage of players averaging over 14.5 points per game in the playoffs. Lastly, Jordan Poole erupted onto the scene and ranks 25th in points per game in the postseason.
Those four have a higher ceiling than that of Jalen Brunson or Spencer Dinwiddie from a playmaking standpoint.
There’s no doubt that Doncic will be able to will his team to victory, but the Mavs abused the Suns in Game 7 because Dinwiddie scored 30 points on 11-for-15 shooting when he hadn’t topped 15 in any other game this series. The ceiling for several Mavericks is there.
The consistency has favored the Warriors so far this postseason though.
