Josh Hart pads Golden State Warriors’ wing depth

The Portland Trail Blazers finally took the first step to blow it up when they traded CJ McCollum this season. Could the firesale continue as the Blazers look to add more youthful talent?

A late first round pick might not be enticing enough for Portland but in this hypothetical scenario, let’s say Josh Hart is on the market.

Hart would seamlessly fill in a role with the Warriors as a 3-and-D wing who can rebound well for his position. He’s grown into a noteworthy defender, standing at 6’5″ and boasting a 6’9″ wingspan.

Once traded to Portland, Hart delivered the best production of his career. In 13 games, the 26-year-old averaged 19.9 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 50.3% from the field.

Hart would play a role similar to current Warrior veteran Otto Porter. Though, with a bit more youthful exuberance. He also fits directly in the middle of the Warriors’ two timelines, gelling with the young core while being mature enough to complement the current stars.
