Golden State Warriors can draft Christian Braun, F

The back of the first round can prove fruitful for teams not afraid to take a chance on raw talent. The Golden State Warriors know this better than anybody, selecting a streaky 3-point shooter in Jordan Poole with the No. 30 pick of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Christian Braun fits this mold, a not-so-sure first round pick who could blossom into the type of consistent shot-maker that poses a nagging challenge for defenders to chase.

Braun shot 38.9% from the 3-point line in college, serving as a key component to the Kansas offense as they won the NCAA Tournament.

He’s more than just a spot-up shooter, however. Braun has the unpolished ability to put the ball on the deck and use his size to create shots over opponents. A decent, possibly overly optimistic, comparison for Braun is Tyler Herro — lanky wings who can shoot from all over the floor.

However, where Braun lacks in dazzling ball-handling is a more well-rounded skill set. He can pass, he can shoot and most importantly, he can rebound and defend. Braun would be a fantastic player for Golden State to place their bets on.
