CBS Mock Draft – Golden State Warriors select Nikola Jovic

No, not the two-time reigning MVP, Nikola Jovic is a different big man entering the 2022 NBA Draft and he could offer the Golden State Warriors some insurance in their frontcourt rotation.

The Dubs are looking thin at the center position. Kevon Looney, a 6’10” hybrid, has done a fantastic job carrying the entirety of the frontcourt as the Warriors’ only center this season as James Wiseman nurtures an ongoing injury.

With Looney eligible to hit the free agency market and Wiseman’s status up in the air, drafting a center like Jovic could be beneficial to the Dubs.

Jovic averaged 11.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 55/40/75 shooting splits overseas. He can do a little bit of everything and can develop into a playmaking center alongside the Warriors’ high-powered offensive lineup.

CBS Sports has Jovic going to the Warriors in their latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft.
