NBA Draft Net Mock Draft – Golden State Warriors select Orlando Robinson

Another big man, the seven-foot Orlando Robinson comes with the type of floor stretching and rim running potential that should have the Golden State Warriors giddy with excitement.

NBA Draft Net has the Warriors taking Robinson with the No. 28 pick in their latest mock draft.

Robinson averaged nearly 20 points in a game in his junior season at Fresno State, hauling in 8.4 rebounds per game and shooting 35.2% from deep on over 100 attempts. He isn’t an elite shot-blocker but managed to reject 1.2 shots per game.

The Warriors would make an interesting frontcourt duo of the future with Robinson and James Wiseman, two seven-footers who have shown touch from beyond the 3-point line. The possibility of Robinson playing power forward next to Wiseman is something that could prove deadly in the future.

Of course, Robinson has flaws, that’s why he’s projected to go in the late first round. He’s a streaky, unproven shooter who lacks athleticism and a quality post-game. Without a clear ability to defend quicker players on the perimeter, Robinson is a risky prospect in today’s game.
