Golden State Warriors WCF standout: Moses Moody/Otto Porter Jr.
The combination of Otto Porter Jr. and rookie Moses Moody played an impactful role for the Warriors. The Dubs other rookie, Jonathan Kuminga, can even be tossed in that group as well, but it was really who came off the bench and provided impactful scoring and rebounding.
Porter Jr., who was out the last few games with foot soreness, hauled down 13 rebounds in the first two games, a key reason the Warriors had a double-digit advantage on the glass in both games. His shooting was also huge for the Warriors.
When he went down, head coach Steve Kerr mixed up the rotation.
Moses Moody was among the players that were able to get some playing time. He produced 8.5 points per game over the last two and shot 6-for-10 from the field. Moody was also 3-for-4 from deep over those last two.
Being able to bring a player off the bench that can step up and hit big-time shots undoubtedly aided the team’s overall success. Porter Jr. is likely to return for the NBA Finals, as is Andre Iguodala, so that might have been Moody’s most important stint of the postseason.
