Andre Iguodala’s status – Hopeful

The Golden State Warriors have been without Andre Iguodala since round one, where the former Finals MVP was able to compete in three games before a disc injury in his neck sent him back to the bench.

Iggy has been on the sideline for most of the year. He played just 31 games in the regular season and has only played marginal minutes even when he was healthy enough to suit up.

At 38 years of age, the time for Iguodala to make an impact on the court has passed. He’s more of a veteran leader at this point, though, he can still be useful to the Warriors.

With the Warriors set for a defensive battle regardless of who represents the East, having a savvy, championship experienced player like Iguodala is a big deal for Golden State.

The latest reports say Iguodala is likely to return at some point in the finals. How much he’s able to play and impact the game remains to be seen.
