Klay Thompson

We can not give enough credit to Klay Thompson for everything he has overcome since 2019. He’s been through the unthinkable for a star athlete, climbing back from a season-ending injury only to fall once again just before the start of the 2020-21 season.

It’s been a long time coming and Thompson has dealt with his fair share of rust in his first season back but a Finals MVP award? That should be enough to erase all of the pain and frustration.

Anything less than a championship would feel disappointing for Klay. After all, this is what motivated him to get back on the floor, in the first place.

But, his comeback is more than a heartwarming story. Thompson is a legit threat to topple the Boston Celtics and establish the Warriors as champions once again.

With Klay’s ability to go full-inferno from the 3-point line, a hot streak could push him deep into the conversation for Finals MVP in this series. He shot just 6-of-14 in Game 1 but could always turn it around to be more of a factor.
