The Golden State Warriors entered halftime down two and kicked off the fourth quarter up 12 as their typical third-quarter onslaught helped ensure a strong lead heading into the final period. Unfortunately for them, the lead didn’t last.

A massive fourth quarter by the Boston Celtics sent the Warriors home with a defeat, their first home loss of the postseason. The Warriors came in with a perfect 9-0 home record, having won all 3 games at the Chase Center in their first three series.

The Warriors lost Game 1, and to avoid having to make history, Game 2 will pose a must-win situation. Here’s who must step up to ensure a victory.

The Dubs even got 34 points from Stephen Curry who absolutely went off in the first quarter, struggling to find his rhythm after subbing back into the game with just over nine minutes to go in the fourth.

Golden State will now prepare for Game 2 on Sunday night, and while limiting Derrick White and Al Horford will be of utmost importance, getting more offensive contributions from some key players will also be something Steve Kerr needs to see.

That said, the Warriors can’t ask much more of Curry and even All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins played excellent defense and had a strong offensive showing on Thursday.

So, who must step up? Let’s dive into the 3 players that can have game-changing performances in Game 2.
