Golden State Warriors player who has disappointed in playoffs: Nemanja Bjelica

Nemanja Bjelica has been a player that’s been in and out of the Warriors rotation this season, but when he’s played well when given the opportunity. In the playoffs, Bjelica has been seldom seen on the court.

Bjelica is a solid option for the Warriors, but his lack of minutes in the playoffs isn’t helpful to his value as a soon-to-be free agent. During the regular season, he averaged 6.1 points per game.

Better yet, his playmaking was often on full display, averaging 2.2 assists per game and 4.1 boards per game in just 16.1 minutes. While he’s played in 12 playoff games, he doesn’t get many quality minutes and has seen his use decreased by more than a quarter.

He’s averaged just 11.1 minutes and is notching 3.6 points per game in that time. It’s that the big man is necessarily playing poorly as he’s shooting 58% from the field. It’s that he’s just not seeing enough time to help boost his value.

It really shouldn’t matter as the Warriors should be primed to bring him back next season, but the playoffs certainly haven’t added Bjelica’s long-term valuation.
