Golden State Warriors player that could see decreased minutes: Nemanja Bjelica

The Warriors want to play bigger, and Nemanja Bjelica was among the few bigs that were given a chance to prove their worth in the 20 minutes Looney was off the court. Bjelica played nine minutes. He, like Porter Jr., had just one rebound.

For the team’s tallest player to take the court, that’s just unacceptable.

He’s played 24 minutes in the series and has seven rebounds. He also missed both of his attempts from the field and his lone three-point attempt. While he wasn’t given many minutes, he didn’t contribute much while on the court.

I expect Kerr to test out Kuminga or run either Porter Jr. or Looney in minutes Bjelica would receive as his lacking Game 4 showing. In those nine minutes, he was a -4 with a -1.1 game score. That was just the third time this postseason he’s had a negative game score.

While Bjelica does some good as he offers more size than Porter Jr. and spacing that Looney does not, I wouldn’t expect Kerr to give him many minutes moving forward.
