This team is truly incredible. After, two injury-riddled seasons and many doubters saying the Warriors would never win another NBA finals, the ‘Dubs are back on top of the basketball world. Exactly seven years to the day when the Warriors won their first of four titles by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers, they raise the trophy again in Boston after beating the Celtics in game six by a score of 103-90.

The Golden State Warriors have stamped themselves in the history books once again with a triumphant return to the top of the NBA mountain.

The greatness of Stephen Curry was once again on display throughout this series as Curry was awarded his first-ever finals MVP award. In Game 6 we saw close-out Curry put the Celtics to sleep.

His 34 points were tops in the game and he added seven rebounds and seven assists. Curry put on an absolute clinic in this series where he averaged 31.2 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The legacy of Curry continues to grow as he adds more and more trophies to his trophy case.

While Curry was the key cog of the team so many key contributors helped Golden State reel in their fourth title in eight years. Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, and Gary Payton II were all huge factors in the Warriors’ success. Thompson said it best after the game,

One of the most impressive things we saw this season was the ascension to stardom for Wiggins. He was an afterthought in Minnesota and now he is an all-star with the Warriors. Wiggins was arguably the second-best player in the finals. He averaged 18.3 points and eight rebounds for the series, to go along with locking down Jayson Tatum.

The culture that has been built by Steve Kerr, Curry, Thompson, Green, and Andre Iguodala is simply amazing. Those have been the common factors in all four championship wins. Also, any player you put around that group benefits so much from playing on a team of unselfish champions. We have seen the development of Wiggins, Looney, Poole, Payton, and more all come from being a part of this dynasty.

While people try to find ways to hate on this dynasty, maybe this championship will be the one that finally silences all the critics. The players heard all of the talk that they were finished and Curry has a question for all the critics,

This championship deserves to be cherished for as long as the organization wants. But, make no mistake, if this team can stay healthy they will be coming for the whole thing again next year. The dynasty is far from over but enjoy this one Dub nation because it is certainly the sweetest one yet.
