The Golden State Warriors need to hand out extensions and re-sign many of the current members of their roster

The Warriors have two players eligible for extensions and four players entering unrestricted free agency.

Emphasis number one is extending Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins. They were incredible all season long and were key contributors to this year’s championship. Both players are relatively young as well, Wiggins being 27 and Poole being 23. These guys are key pieces for the future.

The Warriors will also need to bring back Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr, and Kevon Looney. All three players are unrestricted but played huge roles in the playoffs this year and seem to be open to a return to Golden State.

Looney will likely be the most difficult to retain as he can ask for the most money of the three coming off a season where he played 104 games without missing a beat while putting up career highs nearly across the board.

Payton will also be difficult to retain due to his breakout season on offense while also being an elite perimeter defender.

Porter may also look to get paid as he was offered more money on teams that were expected to be better than the Warriors this past offseason.

The Warriors will likely have to work to get these guys back, but it will be worth it as they are key to bringing home an eighth championship.
