From the championship trophy presentation back to the drawing board, the Golden State Warriors are back studying the upcoming NBA Draft for another opportunity to grow their dynasty.

The value of a late first round pick can’t go understated. Two of the Warriors’ most valuable assets came late in the draft, with Jordan Poole and Draymond Green both being non-lottery picks.

The Golden State Warriors will want to keep a close eye on these three prospects as the 2022 NBA Draft takes place this Thursday.

But, the potential to find a hidden gem isn’t the only thing motivating the Warriors to take the draft seriously. It is also their financial situation. Without much wiggle room in cap space, the chance to fill a roster spot with a cheap, young asset is worth taking seriously.

Can the Dubs find a quality prospect to pair with their already strong collection of Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Poole and James Wiseman? Let’s take a look.
