Jake LaRavia – F

Unlike in the last two NBA Drafts, the Golden State Warriors do not need a homerun. They aren’t selecting high in the lottery and can settle for a quality, developed prospect who can fill a specialty role.

This is Jake LaRavia.

A junior at Wake Forest, LaRavia averaged 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. At 6-foot-8-inches, LaRavia has good size to be a stretch forward, shooting near 40% from the 3-point line in his junior season.

To compare him to a current member of the Warriors, LaRavia can strive to play the same position as Nemanja Bjelica. Space the floor and create plays for others with a high basketball IQ.

LaRavia has a bit more potential. He’s more agile than Bjelica and his work ethic can help him improve areas of his game that Bjelica is simply too old to improve.
