The Golden State Warriors are going to enter the next generation of Dubs’ basketball set to continue their dynasty. They’ll have a key prospect at all five positions primed to help continue the high-level success the Big 3 started in the mid-to-late 2010s.

Coming off their fourth NBA Championship in eight seasons, defeating the Celtics in six games, the Warriors are destined to slow down, and while the last few seasons have been rough for Golden State, the future looks exciting.

The Golden State Warriors have a core prospect at every position, and that high-IQ drafting will bode well in the short- and long-term future.

Now, there will be a key transition of power in the near future, and it’s not quite easy to see how that’s going to take place.

Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Stephen Curry are all well into their 30s with the latter 34 years old. Curry just acquired his first Finals MVP trophy, and while he may get back to that stage, the clock is certainly ticking louder now than it was following his 2018 NBA Championship.

All three will soon transition into different roles, although that could still be several seasons away. The infrastructure is there for Golden State to do its best to withstand the blow that losing those talents will inevitably give.

The Dubs have a key prospect at every position and just need a few to become full-blown stars.

At the point, they have Jordan Poole, who has increased his scoring to over 18 points per game this past season. Poole, 23, carried the team in the second half of the season and certainly over the last few weeks with Curry injured.

At the two, the Dubs have 2021 lottery pick Moses Moody. That same draft, they took Jonathan Kuminga with the No. 7 overall pick. He dropped out of the top five over fears his development could be rocky, and he may not hit that lofty ceiling.

Both are also under 21 years old.

Those are the three names that most fans think of, but James Wiseman, the 7-foot former No. 2 overall pick, still has room to become a premier shot-blocking center. The Wiseman-Poole pick-and-roll could be a staple of the Warriors’ offense in the coming years.

Lastly, at the two or three will be Patrick Baldwin Jr.

Baldwin Jr. was a top prospect coming out of high school, but injuries derailed his stock. Uncertainties hurt Kuminga, and injury issues could hurt Baldwin Jr., but both could end up becoming key pieces of the puzzle for Golden State.

The Warriors are set to progress into the future extremely well and should be poised to get all five minutes in the rotation with Poole likely continuing a focal point of Golden State’s offense in 2023 and beyond.
