Decline – Damion Lee

There probably won’t be much of a market out there for Damion Lee, who has only ever seen minimal success with the Golden State Warriors.

Benefits

Bringing Lee back for next season brings one benefit: a sense of familiarity.

Lee has been with the team for four years now and appeared in 63 regular season games as well as 16 playoff games.

The Dubs know they can rely on the 29-year-old vet to fill a roster spot and give just enough production to make it worthwhile on a minimum deal.

Concerns

Aside from keeping the roster intact, Lee doesn’t offer much else to the Warriors.

He’s a streaky shooter and just an OK defender. He shot 25% from the 3-point line in the playoffs and committed nearly the same amount of turnovers as assists.

It’s unclear if any upgrades will be available this summer but losing Lee would not be the worst thing in the world for Golden State. In fact, they should keep their options open by surveying the market.
