Sign – Otto Porter Jr.

One of the best value contracts in the NBA, Otto Porter Jr. was an absolute steal for the Golden State Warriors last summer.

Benefits

Porter gave Golden State the ultimate bang for their buck. Signed for the veteran minimum, Porter averaged 8.2 points and 5.7 rebounds on 37% 3-point shooting during the regular season.

He was the 3-and-D wing that everyone in the NBA is looking for. He played big minutes in the playoffs and helped unlock the Warriors’ full potential with his versatility.

Golden State will not find a better asset for this price.

Concerns

Naturally, the concern is will the Warriors be able to keep Porter for the same price?

Like many on this list, Porter has outperformed his contract. There’s no question he can test his value on the market to demand a bigger payday. Even so, the Dubs should do everything in their power to retain Porter as his worth is indispensable.
