Sign – Kevon Looney

Yep, this one should not take much explanation. The Golden State Warriors can not afford to lose Kevon Looney.

Benefits

Serving as the Warriors’ only true center, Looney did more than anyone could have reasonably asked for.

He was huge in the regular season. Providing stability as the only member of the team to play all 82 games.

In the playoffs, Looney took it to another level. Snatching boards, setting screens, dropping dimes and switching onto the perimeter — Looney was a jack-of-all-trades that helped Golden State win the chip.

Concerns

Again, the biggest concern is being outpriced by other teams. Looney is sure to command a hefty contract from some other team desperate for his small-ball skills at center.

For the Warriors, matching any reasonable price is their only option. Looney will be tough to replace and life will be much easier if they can simply sign him long-term.

Next. 3 Wishes for 2022 NBA offseason. dark
