Remaining Warriors championship players

It’s hard to predict what priority the Warriors have in the remaining four members of their championship roster. Should they re-sign all of Looney, Payton and Porter, then there may be room for just one more to return, if any at all.

Andre Iguodala is the biggest name, with no word yet on whether the veteran will sail into retirement after his fourth championship. Perhaps Golden State retains him as a playing assistant coach, knowing full well that his on-court playing days are incredibly limited.

Nemanja Bjelica may be the most realistic option to return, with the Serbian playing a minor but successful role in sparse minutes throughout the postseason.

Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damion Lee’s days with the Dubs seem numbered, although you wouldn’t completely rule out a return. Both have provided feel-good stories over the past few seasons, earning their place in franchise history as championship-winning players.

Ultimately, the Warriors will probably survey the free-agent market with their final roster spots, especially if all three of Looney, Payton, and Porter re-sign.
