3. Dwight Howard
The Golden State Warriors could use some size. They should not expect Kevon Looney to play all 82 games as the sole center once again and James Wiseman is not a sure-fire replacement.
Enter Dwight Howard.
Pros
It’s been a strange career for Howard. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year went through many growing pains before finally emerging as a quality veteran role player in Los Angeles.
If he replicates his role as a rim-running, rebounder, shot-blocker and lob-finisher in Golden State, Howard would be a hugely impactful player. Especially, with the frontcourt depth being rather thin.
Not to mention, Howard could be a fantastic mold for Wiseman to follow.
Cons
Age. Health concerns. Fit.
It could all be a problem for Howard as he approaches his 19th NBA season. How many minutes can he play? How many should he play? Will his presence be redundant if Wiseman is more ready than we thought?
There are plenty of reasons to avoid Howard. But, you can not deny how useful he could be if everything played out right.
