Phoenix Suns

It is not particularly close.

If any team can add Kevin Durant and be a superteam, it is the Phoenix Suns.

Durant has already listed Phoenix as his preferred destination and it is not hard to see why. The Suns fell two games short of a championship in 2021 and finished with the best record in the league last season.

The Suns are clearly lacking that final push to get over the hump. Durant can deliver this with ease.

And, Phoenix can offer a package that contends with any other team in the NBA. Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Cam Johnson, as many picks as you want — the Suns can make it work.

For the Warriors, Phoenix was already a threat. But if they add Durant? The Western Conference becomes an absolute bloodbath.
