The Warriors have other trade chips

Okay, let’s say the Golden State Warriors decide trading for another superstar is worth giving up Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green or Klay Thompson.

In this case, the Dubs have numerous other trade chips to package with their max contracts.

Of the bunch, Jonathan Kuminga should be the most untouchable.

This leaves Jordan Poole, James Wiseman, Moses Moody and Patrick Baldwin Jr. as their other options.

In any scenario, trading a combination of those young prospects in favor of keeping Kuminga makes too much sense. As we will see, Kuminga has far too much potential to risk losing this early in his career.

Instead, the Warriors should forfeit their other young stars in favor of holding tight to their crown jewel.
