Warriors’ James Wiseman to Orlando Magic

This may be the best trade for both sides. Jonathan Isaac is as much of a wildcard as Wiseman.

While he’s expected to be back this season, the Magic are loaded with players at the three and four, most notably Franz Wagner and 2022 No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero. Isaac hasn’t played the past two seasons.

Wagner and Banchero with Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs in the backcourt may be the future for Orlando. Isaac is elite on both ends of the court and would edge out an impactful role, but Wiseman may fit the personnel in Orlando better.

The 24-year-old Isaac averaged 11.9 points per game during his third season, the last time fans were able to watch the 6-foot-11 forward. Isaac has the potential to be one of the best two-way forwards in the NBA, and for Golden State, it should be worth the risk.

An Isaac-Wiggins-Green lineup would be lethal defensively. If Orlando sees the pick and Wiseman as enough along with the center as a key piece of their group moving forward, the trade makes sense.
