Austin Rivers is a microwave scorer

With Gary Payton II and Damion Lee gone, the Golden State Warriors should be on the market for another guard who can fill the gaps in their rotation.

Jordan Poole has solidified his role as the Dubs’ spark plug off the bench. Still, Austin Rivers could add more fuel to the fire.

Entering the later stages of his career, Rivers has always been a microwave scorer who could get hot in a hurry. While inconsistent, his effort is always there and Rivers has had his moments of glory in the postseason.

Last year, Rivers averaged 6.0 points in 22 minutes per game for the Denver Nuggets.

A weathered veteran who can be trusted to give maximum energy throughout the course of a season, Rivers makes sense for the Dubs if they want to round out their backcourt rotation.
