Brandon Goodwin is a hidden gem

As perhaps the only person in the world who watches a ton of Golden State Warriors AND Cleveland Cavaliers basketball — I can tell you first hand, Brandon Goodwin is a hidden gem that would shine in the Bay.

Goodwin was performing at a high-level last season during Cleveland’s bumpy fall from grace. He averaged 8.9 points and 4.8 assists across a nine-game stretch when the Cavs were injury-ridden and called on Goodwin to run the show.

Yet, to my frustration, the Cavs opted to give Rajon Rondo heavy minutes while Goodwin rode the bench toward the end of the season.

Needless to say, Goodwin is deserving of a bigger role on a competitive team. He’s a smart decision-maker and a skilled playmaker. All traits that make him a fit on the Warriors’ bench.
