Golden State Warriors’ young core is versatile

One thing the Golden State Warriors have that many other teams do not is versatility.

Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, James Wiseman and Patrick Baldwin Jr. aren’t all just exciting prospects but they fit together almost seamlessly.

Wiseman is the big-man holding down the paint. At his peak, Wiseman has a chance to become a modern Chris Bosh with rim-protecting and floor-spacing capabilities.

Kuminga is a freak athlete whose smooth handle and finesse around the rim should have everyone thinking about Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. To a lesser degree, Jaylen Brown and Jimmy Butler are also fair comparison points for Kuminga to strive for.

I’d confidently bet the farm on Moody developing into a consistent 3-and-D role player. The type of guy who can be trusted to handle the rock, defend the perimeter and drill open shots for years to come.

Baldwin is more of a mixed bag as we have not yet seen him play in the NBA but his status as a 6’9″ wing is something that lends him to play in any lineup imaginable.

Together, this collection of guards, wings and a floor-spacing center gives the Dubs a young core that can someday do it all.
