Prediction: Golden State Warriors stay put

The Golden State Warriors have mostly avoided blockbuster trades throughout their tenure as NBA champions.

They almost always run it back, with rare exceptions such as adding a superstar in Kevin Durant — then later trading that superstar for D’Angelo Russell, and eventually, Andrew Wiggins.

Yet, that crazy domino effect that came from signing Durant in the first place is an anomaly. The Dubs do not tinker with their core very often and that is evident by the fact that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have remained the big three.

I doubt this will change in 2022.

Golden State does not have much incentive to swing for any trades. Perhaps later in the season, if things are rough around the deadline, the Dubs will look to make some moves.

Until then, I predict they stay put.
