Warriors player apart of Kevin Durant trade: Moses Moody

Moses Moody, who played collegiately at Arkansas, would have to be a part of any trade, but when it comes to ranking the Warriors’ young talent and players that would have to be included, his name isn’t among the top-four that most would think of.

It’s mainly because Moody, while he showed flashes last season, doesn’t have the same sky-high potential as Kuminga or Wiseman. Moody was the Warriors’ second first-round pick in 2021. He was the last lottery pick as well, taken at No. 14.

In the same class of Kuminga, both have shown promise. Moody saw time in 52 games his rookie season, averaging 11.7 minutes per game. For a rookie, shooting 43.7% from the field and 36.4% from deep isn’t too shabby.

He stands 6-foot-6 and is a capable defender as well. Just 20 years old, Moody has time to grow into his game and is a solid three-point shooter, averaging 2.4 triples per 36 minutes.

At his worst, Moody should be a quality 3-and-D player and, at his best, could be a high-impact role player. Moody, although he played in just two games, actually averaged the most points per game, 27.5, at the 2K23 Las Vegas Summer League.
