Warriors player apart of Kevin Durant trade: James Wiseman
While James Wiseman may not have the luster he did when selected No. 2 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, coming off a solid summer league showing, he would still be a main crux of any Kevin Durant-centric trade.
Wiseman, with a plethora of issues with his knee, missed all of last season.
Thankfully, the Warriors were able to get Kevon Looney for all 82 games, a shocking feat as he’s dealt with a plethora of injuries in the past. the former No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2019, Wiseman is still just 21 years old.
As a rookie, he played in 39 games, starting 27 of them. He averaged 11.5 points per game, shooting 52.2% from the field. He had a few notable struggles which included not being strong enough in the paint and having difficulty playing without fouling.
Both of those could be corrected this season. Wiseman has star upside and could be among the best centers in the league within the next few seasons. He’s easily one of the players that would have to be in any trade.
