Why JaMychal Green was a perfect signing for Warriors: Skill set

With the Warriors losing both Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica, they were left without a three-point shooting big man. Green provides that at a cheap rate, and the combination of price and skill set is something they desperately needed.

Green isn’t a top-tier three-point shooter, but he should be able to space the court at least a bit. The veteran hit .5 triples per game last season in just over 16 minutes, but the two seasons prior, he hit at least one triple per game.

There’s room for improvement, and the looks he’ll be getting in Golden State should be better than before. Green is a career 36.6% three-point shooter. He’s consistent enough to take attempts from deep, and that’s something that both Kevon Looney and James Wiseman can’t offer.

With Draymond Green’s depleted shooting as well, it’s important that the team has four players on the court around the four-time All-Star forward that can shoot to maximize his effectiveness. JaMychal should be able to bring that.
