James Wiseman is set for his return to the Golden State Warriors next season. And, the team is only one step away from finalizing the roster by either signing Andre Iguodala or looking elsewhere to fill the 14th spot.

But this doesn’t mean they won’t feel encouraged to mix things up later if the regular season does not get off to a good start.

Picture the scenario: It is January 2023, and the Warriors are in the middle of the standings. The team is in desperate need of a mid-season jolt and Wiseman hasn’t been the rim-protecting force they were hoping for.

Could the Dubs choose to punt on Wiseman’s potential for an instant-impact player?

It might not happen this offseason but James Wiseman will continue to be in trade rumors with the Golden State Warriors.

Options are slim due to Wiseman’s small sample size and $9 million dollar contract.

As always, matching salary is the toughest part. Assuming the Dubs are able to package enough assets to make things work financially, here are three relatively cheap options to target.
