Mitchell Robinson

The Golden State Warriors are hopeful that James Wiseman’s reputation as a shot blocker will eventually translate to the NBA level.

If it doesn’t, Mitchell Robinson is a prospect the Warriors can place their faith in.

Robinson, at the very least, has proven he can protect the basket. He averaged 1.8 blocks per game last season and 2.0 for his career.

The rest of his game hasn’t developed much. He’s a non-shooter and can’t create his own shot. Still, Robinson is reliable at the rim, converting an astounding 76% of his field goal attempts last season.

There is no question Robinson would provide an anchor to the Warriors’ defense. And, with the New York Knicks remaining a bottom-feeder team, the likelihood of Golden State fleecing them in a trade is always on the table.
