Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is perfect for Golden State Warriors

Arguably the most underrated potential trade chip in the league, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the type of player who can swing the fortunes of a franchise.

SGA has never shied away from making his feelings public. He openly avoided any ties to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2018 NBA Draft process and it’s quite possible he eventually moves on from the Oklahoma City Thunder if they continue tanking.

Landing in Golden State would give SGA a place to thrive. He’s experienced sharing the backcourt with other guards, playing alongside Chris Paul during his time in OKC.

The three-man dynamic between Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Alexander would be electric. Their size, length and versatility would make them the most difficult backcourt trio the defend in the entire league.

SGA is a limited shooter but averaged 24.5 points, 5.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds last season.

At 23 years of age, SGA is the type of proven prospect who can flourish in Golden State for years to come.

If the Dubs end up needing to make a chaotic trade, SGA should be one of their primary targets.
