Los Angeles Lakers blow it up

It’s a feeling that no LeBron James-led team can shake. The sense that no matter what you do, the King might be on his way out once his contract is up.

How do the Lakers manage to build for the future if they are left behind with a roster full of aging players?

They might just have to trade Anthony Davis for a package of young talent.

Draymond would be the biggest financial piece included in the deal but the Lakers would also gain some combination of young prospects such as James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Jordan Poole and potentially more on top of a stack of first round draft picks.

This would allow the Lakers to quickly re-up their chances at building another title team quickly.

In exchange, the Warriors get a two-way superstar in Davis. Albeit injury prone, Davis is a cheat code alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and the best imaginable return for Green.

This is a move that the Warriors would feel beyond lucky to make and it isn’t one they should be counting on. Yet, a panic move from the Lakers would bless this franchise for years to come.
