1. Hassan Whiteside

If we are talking pure size, Hassan Whiteside is the guy the Golden State Warriors should be after.

He’s a freakishly long seven-footer who has always been a deterrent at the rim. Whiteside averaged 1.6 blocks last season and has led the league in this category twice.

Whiteside provides an anchor in the paint for Golden State. He can snag rebounds and block shots as strongly as anyone else in the league.

His weakness has always been on offense and sliding his feet defensively. It’s easy to take Whiteside out of his comfort zone and if he isn’t dunking the ball, it probably isn’t going in.

A hyper-simplified role in Golden State should be easy enough for such a gifted athlete. And, he serves as a fairly good model for James Wiseman to follow in his development.
