Cleveland Cavaliers would be perfect for Andrew Wiggins

Once a Cleveland Cavalier, always a Cleveland Cavalier, right?

Andrew Wiggins was selected No. 1 overall by the Cavs back in 2014. Though, he never played a second of basketball for the franchise aside from Summer League hoops as he was promptly traded to Minnesota once LeBron James made his return to the Land.

While rumors of James once again returning to Cleveland are swirling, a different reunion is gaining traction.

Reports suggest the Cavs are keeping Wiggins in mind as they look ahead to the 2023 offseason.

Why? Because he is exactly what they need right now.

The Cavs have done a fantastic job of building a world-class frontcourt and an elite backcourt to bring the franchise back into contention. The only thing missing is the wing, where they are devastatingly short on talent.

Wiggins solves this issue with ease. He’s the two-way threat they need to pull the entire roster together and he’s still young enough to fit their ongoing timeline. Cleveland is a major threat to offer Wiggins a contract he can’t refuse.
