Extend Andrew Wiggins and/or Jordan Poole

It’s the question that is going to be on everyone’s mind this season. Will Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins still be on the roster next year?

One way to avoid this dilemma is to promptly extend them both. An unlikely but ideal scenario for Golden State.

Avoiding a contract fiasco with Wiggins, Poole and potentially Draymond Green in the summer of 2023 would be fantastic.

In order to do this, the Dubs need to find a way to get these core pieces back on the books for a reasonable price. A task that might not be possible.

The most realistic way to do this is to get Poole to sign for a cheaper deal while paying Wiggins whatever he wants. Poole is the younger, less proven player and will have years to get his money.

Wiggins, on the other hand, is a more important piece and has earned his right to a payday.

Either way, getting these two on a deal before the season begins would put everyone’s mind at ease for the bigger task ahead.
