Superstar trade that could impact Warriors: Russell Westbrook

Who are the Los Angeles Lakers going to trade Russell Westbrook and his massive contract to? That is still to be figured out, but there were long-shot rumors of Anthony Davis and Westbrook being involved in a trade for Durant.

That seems unlikely, but the Lakers running it back with LeBron James and seeing a difficult result also seems idiotic.  Westbrook averaged 18.5 points per game, his first time being under 20 per game since the 2009-2010 season.

The former MVP and 9-time All-Star guard is set to make $47 million in the last year of his contract, and some teams should value the assets and potential salary dump. If it means a better chance at contending, it would make sense for the Lakers to see it as a positive step as well.

The Lakers are a high-profile organization and should be able to find their talent in free agency. Trading more picks along with Westbrook would make sense and certainly has the potential to shake up the NBA.
